Scope of the conference
- ICE is a technical/scientific conference addressing scientific and technical aspects of electrolysis for the production of fuels and chemicals.
- All electrolyzer technologies meeting the criteria of 1. are welcome, including less common and new ones.
- Typical topics include:
- Cell components (electrolytes, electrodes, catalysts and PTL’s)
- Electrochemical characterization
- Mass, heat and electron transport phenomena
- Durability and accelerated stress testing strategies
- Stack architecture and components (bipolar plates, sealings, endplates. etc.)
- Balance of stack components. Architecture, operating strategies, and system integration
- Integration of electrolyzers with other processes when this has an impact on the electrolyzer
- Electrolyzer decommissioning and materials recycling
- Modelling and simulations of all the above
- Experimental studies, demonstrations and simulation work can be presented.
- Topics which are not covered by this conference are:
- Economical studies and business case development
- Deployment of hydrogen as energy vector
- Energy planning
- Sustainability assessments
- Public acceptance
